Message: Holy volcano. This band & this record really shows that things are alive & well in the beautiful island of Maui. Well written, well crafted songs . . . & passionately (& quite expertly) performed by Ms. Gilliam. If you like the quiet side of Seal, with a vocal dash of Basia & the sonic depth of any A-Grade rock band out there - wiki wiki (hurry) & get this. Anastasia & her guitarist were performing in Maui & even from afar, the timbre, soul & control of her voice stopped me cold. The set was beautiful, I bought the CD & then discovered they were in iTunes. Maui just got that much more beautiful. May they tour the mainland & never lose their soul.

Last time I was on Maui in January, I chanced to hear you at the 4 Seasons lobby bar and bought your CD mostly to show support for a local musician. I was really impressed with the songs & in the time since, your CD has become a fave.
Now back on Maui with my family, we plan on coming out this Monday evening.
Any chance you will perform songs from your album? That would be a treat!

It was really great delight and discovery to listen to such a world class performer in such a small venue at the 4 Seasons. Your voice and the soul you bring to your music speak volumes of the blessedness of the Spirit radiating within you. Just great.
I read your bio and see where your a Integral Yoga Teacher. I lived and studied at the San Francisco Institute in 1982-84. Sri Swami Satchidanda was and is an inspirational teacher and guide in my journey. So many lessons and blessings.
I really liked the duo combination. Your guitarist does not overstate you, he just supports you. This allows your voice to really be heard. I'd love to hear a cd of standards. Such an beautiful talent.
